Fifteen thousand square feet of quiet luxury.
The scale of Green Forts called for an interior that felt generous without becoming imposing. The brief was to create a contemporary family home with a sense of warmth, restraint and permanence.
Rather than treating each room as an individual composition, the interior was conceived as a continuous experience. Proportion, material and light establish a consistent language throughout the residence, while individual spaces develop their own character within it.

Our approach began with the spatial experience of the residence rather than individual rooms. Sightlines, circulation, ceiling details, lighting, material transitions and furniture placement were considered together to create a sense of rhythm throughout the home.
A restrained palette of stone, timber, plaster and warm neutral finishes provides continuity, allowing proportion, texture and detail to define each space.
PROPORTION & DETAIL
Restraint relies on precision. Ceiling profiles, joinery, material junctions and transitions were developed to give depth to otherwise quiet surfaces.
CONTINUITY & FLOW
Sightlines and transitions connect the principal spaces while allowing each room to retain its own identity. The result is a residence that feels cohesive without becoming repetitive.
LIGHT & ATMOSPHERE
Natural and artificial light were considered as part of the material palette, bringing depth to stone, timber and textured surfaces while allowing the character of the interior to shift throughout the day.

Grand Staircase
The staircase forms a central focal point within the residence. Sculptural railings meet clean stone treads, balancing classical reference with contemporary restraint.
Living Areas
Open and light-filled, the living spaces are grounded in warm stone, timber and a restrained palette. Furniture placement responds to the scale of each room, balancing generous entertaining spaces with the needs of everyday living.
Dining & Entertaining
The dining space continues the material language of the adjoining living areas, with lighting and furniture introducing a more intimate atmosphere for gathering.
Private Suites
The private suites introduce softer tones, layered textiles and a quieter interpretation of the home’s wider design language. Each room develops its own character while remaining connected to the residence as a whole.
